The city is served by 1 fire station located on the western edge of the downtown district at the intersection of Maple and Main Streets. The Waconia Fire Department is comprised of 37 members, several of whom reside within 2 1/2 minutes of the station. The department enjoys a 6 to 10 minute total response time to any area within the city.
Prevention & Education
In addition to firefighting and rescue services, the Fire Department promotes fire prevention and education through multiple programs, including visits to classrooms and student and adult tours of the fire station. The members are committed to providing exceptional fire safety and protection to the citizens of Waconia, visitors, and contracted service areas in Waconia and Laketown Townships.
